Chain snatched in city

Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants have snatched a part of a gold chain from an elderly woman at Manchegowdanakoppal (MG Koppal) in city yesterday afternoon.

The woman, who lost her gold chain, is Girijamma, a resident of the locality. Yesterday at about 3 pm, Girijamma was walking near her house when two miscreants, who came on a bike from behind, snatched her 60 grams gold chain. As Girijamma held on to her chain, the miscreants, managed to flee with about 15 grams gold chain.

Vijayanagar Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and have collected footages of CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity of the crime spot, besides taking steps to nab the chain-snatchers.
