Chain snatched in city

Mysore/Mysuru: Despite City Police acting tough on chain snatchers by arresting four notorious chain snatchers on July 26 and recovering gold jewellery worth Rs. 5,80,000 from them, bike-borne miscreants have snatched a gold chain of an elderly woman at Hosakeri 5th Cross in city on Wednesday evening.

The woman, who lost her gold chain, is 55-year-old Brahmarambha of Hosakeri. She was walking near her house at about 7.30 pm, when two miscreants on a bike, who came from behind, yanked of her 30 grams gold chain and sped away.

A case has been registered at K.R. Police Station.
