Jayalakshmipuram Police, who had taken up investigation of a case, where a chain-snatcher on scooter had snatched about 40 grams of the 80 grams gold chain from a woman who was walking in Jayalakshmipuram on May 28, 2013, have arrested the chain-snatcher and have recovered the part of the 80 grams gold chain from him.
The arrested chain-snatcher has been identified as 26-year-old Aijaz Pasha, a resident of Usmania Block in Ghousianagar here.
Jayalakshmipuram Police, who submitted a charge-sheet against the accused to the Court, produced him before the Court, where the Judge of the Fourth AFM Court, after finding the accused guilty of the crime, sentenced him to three years jail term.
Public Prosecutor Thammanna argued for the State.
