Mysore/Mysuru: Champaka Educational and Cultural Trust, Mysuru, is conducting its monthly cultural events since June 2023 to showcase Indian performing arts under the banner “Champaka Rashtreeya Kalaa Utsava.”

The ‘Chaitra-2024’ edition will be held on May 4 at 5 pm at Champaka Sabhangana in the Champaka Academy premises at Ramakrishnanagar.

This event will showcase Bharatanatyam performances by accomplished artistes from Mysuru and Puttur.

The evening will start with Bharatanatyam performance featuring the disciples of Karnataka Kalashree Vidushi Nayana V. Rai, Founder-Director of Vishwakalaniketana Institute of Arts & Culture and Vidushi Swastika R. Shetty of Puttur, Kudkadi.

Vidushi S.N. Meghana Rao, Director of Natya Samskruthi Kalanikethana, Mysuru and disciples will present a Bharatanatyam feature thereafter.

Karnataka Kalashree Vidushi G. Rajalakshmi Sreedhar, Director of Swaralaya Music School, Mysuru, will be the chief guest, according to a press release from Dr. Nagalakshmi Nagarajan, Managing Trustee, Champaka Educational and Cultural Trust.
