Chamundeshwari Puja Mahotsava from tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Bhavasar Kshatriya Sri Chamundeshwari Seva Samithi, Kuvempunagar, will conduct a three-day Sri Chamundeshwari Amma Puja Mahotsava from July 5 to 7.

The celebrations will commence at 9 am tomorrow with the procession of the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari from Sri Umamaheshwari temple, KHB Colony in Kuvempunagar 2nd Stage to Ganapathy temple on Kuvempunagar ‘M’ Block Main road near EWS houses, following which the  idol will be consecrated at the space behind Ganapathy temple.

Pratibha Puraskar for meritorious students of Bhavasar Kshatriya community from Kuvempunagar who have scored more than 75 percent marks in SSLC,  will take place at 7 pm.

MP Pratap Simha, MLA S.A. Ramdas, In-charge Mayor Sunanda Palanetra, MUDA Chairman H.V. Rajeev and others will be present.

On July 6, Anna Santarpane (mass feeding) will take place at 12 noon. Later in the day, Sri Ambabhavani Mahagondali Puja will be performed by National Awardee Folk artiste Maharaj Lakshmanrao Ghorate and team at 5 pm, following which Pratibha Puraskar for meritorious students of the community who have scored more than 75 percent marks in PUC will take place at 7.30 pm. Rituals will culminate with Mahamangalarathi.

The celebrations will conclude on July 7 with  ‘Visarjane’ of Goddess Chamundeshwari idol  at 11 am, according to a press release from Seva Samithi President J. Rajesh Kutnikar. For details, call Mob: 98447-84618.
