Charter Ceremony of VVCE Toastmasters

Mysuru: Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) had the Charter Ceremony of an International Club ‘VVCE Toastmasters’ at the College premises in city recently. VVCE is the first engineering college in Mysuru region to have a Toastmasters International Club.

Toastmasters International is a USA head-quartered non-profit educational organisation that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping members to improve their communication, public speaking and leadership skills. Through its thousands of member clubs, Toastmasters International offers a programme of communication and leadership projects designed to help people learn the art of speaking, listening and thinking.

The Charter Ceremony of VVCE Toastmasters was held in the presence of  Gundappa Gowda, President of Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, J.K.Roopa Priya, Training and Placement Officer, Dr. V. Ravi Kumar, HoD of CSE, Sagnik Biswas, Division Director, Rohith Koka, Area Director, Toastmasters of Infosys Technologies and L&T, Mysore Toastmasters.

The 7 Club Officers installed during the Charter Ceremony are: Rohan David – President of VVCE TM, Sourabh Kothari – VP Education, C.M. Nishma Cauvery – VP Membership, Madhurish Katta – VP PR, Yamini – Secretary, Rohit Ram – Treasurer and Suman Somaiah – Sergeant-at-Arms.
