I would like to draw the attention of authorities concerned and elected representatives towards the over-emphasis on helmetless riding or production of documents or wrong parking and ignoring other types of violations which are very rampant and perhaps more dangerous to public safety.
I am very sorry to observe that many a times this over-zeal fails to protect the human face of the Police force which nowadays has become the most sought after quality of a civil administration. Today I saw near University Guest House that a lady was sitting on the road divider with a kid in her lap because the person who accompanied her was begging with the Police personnel showing his papers. On the other hand, different types of traffic violations go unnoticed and unattended.
Some of them are vehicles altered, silencers producing strange sound, over-loading, transportation of filth, garbage and sand, cement etc., without cover and the most dangerous one is carrying steel rods and angle more than the length of the vehicle.
