Check erratic two-wheeler riding by youths

File Photo: For Representation Only

Sir,

While I move on the roads of Mysuru driving my car, I have noticed erratic behaviour of youths and middle aged persons riding two-wheelers.

Most of the time the two-seater motor cycle will be carrying three or more people which includes family of spouse and children.

The two-wheeler drivers don’t  follow the red light at signal junction, don’t follow one-way restrictions and not at all follow the discipline of lane traffic. Also, the four-wheel motorists find it difficult while moving when they get green signal or taking right turn at signal points as the signal jumpers and lane changers appear suddenly.

I suggest, cctv cameras must be installed at all signal points, at entrance and exits of one-way roads to capture traffic violators, including those who use mobile while driving.

The Traffic Police authorities should concentrate on catching the traffic violators who pose danger to other motorists than waiting to catch motorists not wearing helmets or seat belts and fulfil the target of penalty collection.
