Mysore/Mysuru: Vijaya Vittala Educational Institutions in association with Brahmara Trust, Mysuru, had organised Chemistry experiments demonstration recently.
Former Director of CFTRI Dr. V. Prakash inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed on the importance of role played by the farmers, soldiers, scientists, doctors and medical staff in serving society.
Science plays a very pivotal role in our everyday life and Chemistry has a greater contribution in it. We need to be indebted to scientists for their constant efforts in discovering the vaccine to fight against the virus and saving our lives, he stated.
Renowned scientist of IISc., Dr. Udaya Maitra and Professor of BMS College of Engineering Dr. Samita Maitra gave a demonstration on Chemistry experiments. Later they interacted with the students regarding basic concepts of chemistry and its applications. More than 100 students participated in the programme.
Madhuri Thathachari of Brahmara Trust, Hon. Secretary of VVEI R. Vasudev Bhat, Trustee A. Vishwanatha, College Principal H. Satyaprasad and School Principal B.R. Mangala, lecturers and teachers were present.
