FM M.G. Gahan with 6.5 points from seven rounds won the title in the Akshayakalpa Grandprix Finals Chess Tournament at BEL Officers Club, Jalahalli, Bengaluru, on Sunday last.

IM Ravi Gopal Hegde finished second with 6 points, while Mysuru’s GM M.S. Thejkumar secured the third place with 5.5 points from seven rounds.

Mysuru’s IM Girish A. Koushik with 5 points secured the fifth place while another Mysurean L. Vivekananda secured the eighth place with 4.5 points.
