Mysuru girl and top-seed K.R. Sara, taking part in the 2nd National U-7 Girls Chess Championship-2018, after eight rounds has secured 6.5 points and is placed fifth in the rankings on Saturday.
In the eighth round, K.A. Meenakshi (Andhra Pradesh) beat Sara to emerge as the leader with eight points from eight rounds.
Anjana (TN), Bhavya Joshi (MP) and Lakshan Subramanian (TN) with seven points are placed from second to fourth respectively in the placings.
