Chief Minister warns Congress Legislators against resignation

Bengaluru: With a few disgruntled Congress MLAs, who were deeply disappointed after being left out of yesterday’s  Cabinet expansion, threatening to quit their seats, Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar (DKS) has warned the party MLAs against making any such moves, saying that their resignation would be accepted immediately, if they send resignation letters.

Speaking to press persons at Bengaluru this morning, Shivakumar, referring to reports on Indi MLA Yashwanthraya Gouda Patil sending in his resignation letter, Sagar MLA Belur Gopalakrishna threatening to quit and supporters of NR MLA Tanveer Sait asking him (Sait) to quit, said that the party has taken serious note of open dissent and demonstrations. “I warn the party Legislators against quitting. The party will immediately accept the resignations if they do so,” he warned, while cautioning the Congress MLAs against taking any hasty decisions.
