Chiguru music programme for budding artistes on Nov.9

Mysuru: Ganabharathi has organised “Chiguru” music programme for the promising budding artistes on Nov.9 at 6 pm at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar. In this series, there will be two vocal concerts — the first one will be from 6 pm to 7.15 pm by Mahathi Raghuram accompanied by Pooja Sridhar on violin, Pavan Madhav Masoor on mridanga and Srinidhi on ghata; the second concert will be from 7.15 pm to 8.30 pm by Shyamakrishna Satheesh accompanied by Prithvi Bhaskar on violin, Maalola Simha on mridanga and Sudhindra on ghata.

ARTISTES’ PROFILE

Mahathi hails from a music family and is the granddaughter of Ganakala Bhushana Vid. V. Deshikachar.  She has been learning music from the past 10 years under Vidu. R.N. Shreelatha.

Shyamakrishna also hails from a music family and is the grandson of Vid. Bellary M. Venkateshachar. He is under the tutelage of his mother Vidu. Vani Satheesh. Being 1st PU students, both have won prizes in various music contests.
