Chikkananjaiah (67), retired Project Director, Mysuru District Urban Planning Cell and a resident of city, passed away on Wednesday. He had also served as the Chief Officer of Urban Local Bodies at Kollegal, Chamarajanagar, Malavalli, Nanjangud and other places.

He leaves behind his wife Sundaramma, children Sowmya, Naveen, Lokesh and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at his native place Kavudawadi village, Santhemarahalli hobli in Chamarajanagar district on Wednesday evening, according to family sources.
