Children take part in ‘Only One Earth’ drawing contest

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of World Environment Day celebration, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) in association with District Administration, District Legal Services Authority and Madilu Education and Rural Development Organisation had jointly organised a drawing contest for children at Kalamandira in city on June 2.

Over 150 children including ten differently-abled children took part in the competition with the theme ‘Only One Earth – Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature’. Children from across Mysuru drew pictures in their own imagination that carried messages to save earth and environment. The competition was held in three categories — 1st to 4th std., 5th to 6th std. and 8th to 10th std. KSPCB Senior Environmental Engineer Dr. B. M. Prakash, Environmental Officer G.R. Ganeshan, Deputy Environmental Officers S. Ramesh, M.J. Jayalakshmi, Hariprasad, M.K. Netravathi and  Scientific Officer N. Kavitha were present.
