Child’s death: Parents demand action against doctors

Mysuru: Alleging negligence by doctors at Cauvery Heart and Multispeciality Hospital on Bannur Road in city, had resulted in the death of an 8-year-old boy, the parents of the deceased has urged the Deputy Commissioner to take action against the negligent doctors.

Addressing a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan in city yesterday, V.P. Mukesh, father of the deceased boy V.M. Bupen and a resident of Kushalnagar, said that he had admitted his son to the hospital as he was suffering from problems related to his private part and alleged that his son died due to overdose of drugs administered by the doctors during surgery.

He further said that though the enquiry committee gave a report stating that the boy died due to heart related problems, Mukesh said that his son never had any heart problems and urged the Deputy Commissioner to take action on the negligent    doctors in the hospital and provide justice to them.

Deceased boy’s mother Divya, Sukhesh, Suresh and others were present at the press meet.
