Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede incident: Vatal Nagaraj demands Rs. 5 crore relief to families of 11 victims

Mysore/Mysuru: Demanding Rs. 5 crore compensation to the families of 11 persons, who died in the stampede at Chinnaswamy Stadium during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) victory celebration in Bengaluru on June 4, pro-Kannada activist and Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha President Vatal Nagaraj and Party workers staged a protest near Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Circle (formerly Hardinge Circle) in the city recently.

Pointing out that the State Government, has put the blame on RCB Management for the tragedy, Vatal Nagaraj questioned whether the Government lacked  any responsibility. “Whoever may be responsible for the tragedy, provide Rs. 5 crore compensation first,” he demanded.

Pro Kannada activists Nanjundaswamy and Parthasarathy. Karnataka Sena Pade President Tejesh Lokesh Gowda, Suresh, Shivakumar, Radhakrishna, Kumar, Hanumantaiah, Prabhakar, Raghu Urs, Basavaraju, Ravish, Darshan Gowda, Vishnu and others were present.
