Chottangada Manoraj (Pattu), a coffee planter and a resident of Marenad in Birunani here, passed away in the wee hours of today following cardiac arrest. He was 71.

He leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at Birunani this morning, according to a family sources.
