Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysore Diocesan Commission for Health and the Specially Abled had organised a joyful Christmas celebration for special children on Dec. 13 at the Open Air Stage, St. Joseph’s College of Nursing in Bannimantap. The programme reflected the true spirit of Christmas — love, inclusion and dignity for every child.
The celebration was graced by the Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Mysore and Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Antony Vazhapilly, Emeritus Bishop of Mysore, along with Estelle D’Souza, Regional Coordinator, Fr. Roxan Baros, Diocesan Coordinator, priests, religious, volunteers, parents and well-wishers.
The programme featured prayer services, cultural performances, dances, skits and songs presented by special children and participating schools.

In his Christmas message, the Bishop emphasised that every child is precious in God’s eyes and called upon the community to foster an inclusive and compassionate society.
The celebration concluded with prize distribution, Christmas gifts and refreshments, bringing smiles and happiness to all.
