Christmas ‘howliday’ for dogs

Mysuru: Over 25 dogs had a wonderful ‘howliday’ at the Christmas extravaganza for pets at the Woof Wagon Pet Resort last evening. Over 35 people participated in the event where different dog breeds wagged their tails and loved the goodies and pampering offered to them.

Popular under the banner of “Chewsticks and Chapatis” this was the fifth pet-friendly event for Mysureans who had a fun time along with their pets. Overall, it was an evening for games, frolic and treats.

According to Dr. Shantanu Kalambi and Dr. Suranjana Ganguly of Woof Wagon Pet Services, the response was encouraging as Mysureans feel optimistic about having an open   space for their pets to socialise every few weeks.

The first-of-its-kind in Mysuru, the Woof Wagon provides a host of veterinary services for pets. Located on the outskirts of Kergalli, the property has 14 spacious boarding kennels, a pool and plenty of play area, making it the perfect retreat for pets.

Woof Wagon is run passionately by two vets and Seemanthini, an animal rights activist, ensuring the best care for its guests.

They aspire to create a facility that promotes a pet-friendly culture in the city. They’re ardent believers of rescuing, adoption and sterilization. The team strives to continue hosting family-centric events, promoting adoption and educating people about the joys of having pets.
