CII holds session on Make in India, global growth

CII Mysuru had organised a session on Make in India in city recently. Seen in the picture are Dr N. Kamal Bali, MD, Volvo India said that India is at the cusp of a major transformation and technology is driving the country towards digitalisation. He was speaking at a session on “Make in India: The Engine of Global Growth” organised by CII Mysuru at Hotel Radisson Blu in city recently.  

Bali said that India, which is always known to have a potential for growth, has started performing better than before. This will lead to many emerging trends and technologies in the automotive industry, he said.

“There are a few challenges and missing links that have come in the way of development but the amount of programming that now goes into building things in the automotive industry are enormous,” he said.

Ravi Raghavan, Managing Director, BFW Ltd. spoke on machine tools and their importance in future. He said machine tooling made any product a reality and called it an industry with a lot of potential. Guruprasad Mudlapur, Managing Director, Bosch Automotive Electronics India spoke on the impact of electronic industry on the lives of people in future. Dr. Satish Chandra, Program Director, NAL spoke on Mysore Airport and said a subsidiary of the Karnataka Aerospace Technology Centre in Mysuru would be of help.

Earlier, CII Chairman Dr N. Muthukumar spoke about how different domains from automobile to manufacturing industry can see the market get opened up for their business.
