Mysore/Mysuru: To create awareness among Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) teachers about specialised scientific contents, state-of-the-art tools, techniques and methodologies prevalent in the area of regional language education in line with the implementation of National Education Policy 2020, National Testing Service-India (NTS-I), under Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru, is set to launch 2nd phase of online language training for the regional language teachers of NVS.
The programmes are scheduled to be launched in the month of August and September, 2021. A six-day intensive training event is to be organised for each language (Punjabi, Urdu, Assamese and Odia) covering 100s of language teachers across the nation.
Training will consist of specialised lectures, hands-on session, case studies, etc. by renowned experts drawn from IITs, NITs, JNU, DU and other Central and State Universities and Research Institutions across the nation. First phase of the prog. for Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam and Telugu were completed in the month of January and February.
Dr. Pankaj Dwivedi, Officer In-charge, NTS-I, will coordinate these programmes under supervision of Prof. P.R. Dharmesh Fernandez, Head, Centre for Testing and Evaluation, CIIL Mysuru. Prof. Shailendra Mohan, Director, CIIL, Mysuru and Vinayak Garg, Commissioner, NVS (HQ), are joint patrons.
