Mysuru: As part of an educational initiative to enhance students’ understanding of governance and Legislative processes, 42 students and four staff members from Citizen Convent at Udayagiri in city visited Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru recently.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to meet Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly U.T. Khader and observe a live session in progress.
The students were given a comprehensive orientation and guided tour of the Legislative Assembly Hall and Legislative Council Hall by Ganashekar, a Government-appointed guide.
The students gained first-hand knowledge of the Legislative proceedings, the functioning of Legislative Committees and the architectural significance of the Legislative Halls. Additionally, they interacted with the Secretary to the Speaker, who provided them with a deeper understanding of the law-making process and governance.
Co-ordinator Syed Abdul Muheeb, Assistant teachers Divya Shree and Arun Kumar, Law student Nida Hussain and others were present.
