Returns Rs. 60,000 worth mobile phone to owner
Mysore/Mysuru: An autorickshaw driver displayed his honesty by returning a costly mobile phone which was left behind in his auto to the rightful owner.
The auto driver, who has earned appreciation from the public and the Police, is Raju, a resident of Metagalli in city.
On June 5, one Shyam, a resident of Mariyappanapalya in Bengaluru had come to the city and boarded the auto near Jaganmohan Palace and alighted near Mysuru Zoo. After a few minutes, he realised that he had left his One Plus mobile phone worth Rs. 60,000 in the auto and immediately informed Siddarthanagar Traffic Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), who was on duty near the Zoo.
When the ASI and Shyam were making enquiries near the Zoo, auto driver Raju, who arrived at the spot, identified Shyam as his customer, who had left the mobile phone behind and returned it to him.
