City BJP celebrates Yediyurappa’s return to power as CM

Mysuru: City BJP workers celebrated the ascension of B.S. Yediyurappa (BSY) as the Chief Minister of the State for the fourth time, by bursting crackers in front of the party office in Chamarajapuram here last evening.

Addressing the party workers, former KEA Chairman B.P. Manjunath lashed out at JD(S) and Congress leaders for making baseless charges against BSY.

Accusing the Congress and JD(S) of criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi in singular in the run up to the Lok Sabha polls, Manjunath ridiculed the Congress and JD(S) leaders for calling the BJP a communal party.

Maintaining that the new BJP Government headed by Yediyurappa will provide a stable and clean Government, Manjunath asserted that the party workers will take the schemes launched by the Union Government to the doorsteps of the people.

Alleging that the Congress and JD(S) had entered into an unholy alliance in order to form the Government and keep the BJP out of power, he said that the 14-month rule of the Coalition Government was mired in corruption and maladministration.

Claiming that the BJP Government headed by Yediyurappa will provide a stable and strong administration, he thanked the people for supporting the BJP in the LS and Assembly polls.

Later, the party workers waving party flags took out a procession from the party office to Ramaswamy Circle.

Corporators B.V. Manjunath and Shivakumar, leaders Varakodu Prakash, S.T. Mahendra, Doora Manjunath, Devaraj and others were present.
