Mysore/Mysuru: City’s G. Manish won the title in AITA Men’s Rs. 1 lakh Tennis Tournament held at Sania Mirza Tennis Academy in Hyderabad yesterday by defeating Sai Karthik Reddy Ganta 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 in the finals.
Earlier, he beat Sarvesh 6-0, 6-3 in 1st round, Suhith Reddy 6-1,6-0 in 2nd round, Sandesh Kurale 6-4,6-1 in quarter-finals and Hitesh Yelamenchali 6-4, 6-2 in semi-finals.
The 21-year-old G. Manish is the son of V.M. Ganesh and Mamatha, residents of Gokulam in city. He is the product of Mysore Tennis Club (MTC), Mysuru.
