Mysore/Mysuru: Four Policemen have brought laurels to city by securing medals in the State-level Annual Police Sports Meet held at KSRP Grounds, Koramangala in Bengaluru from June 26 to 28. Overall, the City Police finished in fourth place at the Sports Meet.

Amarnath, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Krishnaraja (KR) Police Station, finished first in 100-metre run and second in 200-metre run. Vijayshankar, Armed Police Constable (APC) attached to City Armed Reserve (CAR) Police Station, finished third in triple chase, K. Ashwini, a Woman Police Constable (WPC) attached to Kuvempunagar Police Station, finished first in high jump and third in 100-metre race and R. Savitha, WPC of Vijayanagar Police Station, came third in Discus Throw event at the Meet.

City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar has congratulated the Police Officer and Policemen for their remarkable performance in the sports meet.

P. Suresh, Reserve Police Inspector (RPI), was the Team Manager, who performed the task under the guidance of DCP (CAR) Siddanagowda Patil, according to a press release.
