Mysore/Mysuru: An incident of theft at the residence of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Second Division Assistant (SDA) S. Yashodhara has been reported.
A resident of Jayalakshmipuram 3rd Stage, Yashodhara and his family members went to their friend’s house at V.V. Mohalla on May 11 at 7.30 pm and when returned to their house at 10.30 pm, they noticed that the main door was half open and inside a room, clothes were scattered all around.
In another room, they found that the door of the almirah and 4 drawers inside it were broken and 80 gram gold chain, 45 gram bracelet, 28 gram gold kadaga, 50 gram long chain, 40 gram necklace, 45 gram earrings, 30 gram bangles and 10 gold rings weighing 80 grams, totally worth Rs. 17 lakh, were stolen.
A complaint has been lodged at Jayalakshmipuram Police Station in this connection. Speaking to Star of Mysore, Yahodhara said that they might have forgotten to lock door and thieves may have taken advantage of this.
