City doc elected to ACP, India Chapter

Mysuru: Dr. M. Suresh Babu, Professor of Medicine, JSS Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru, has been elected from South Zone to the Governing Council of American College of Physicians (ACP), India Chapter. He will be representing the Southern States of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala.

ACP, India Chapter is the sixteenth international chapter  established in 2015 by the American College of Physicians to enhance the quality and effectiveness of health care by fostering excellence and professionalism in the practice of medicine. With 1,48,000 members from countries across the globe, ACP is the largest medical-specialty society in the world and India is one of the fastest growing international Chapters. Dr. Suresh Babu was the past Vice-President of Association of Physicians of India (API), Karnataka Chapter and President of API, Mysuru.
