Mysuru: Dr. S.N. Mothi, Chairman, Asha Kirana Hospital, Mysuru, had been invited to deliver a Guest Lecture in the Department of Paediatric Infectious Disease, Children’s Hospital, Boston on Sept.4. He spoke on ‘Challenges in Status Disclosure & Adolescent Transitioning to adult care and also Asha Kirana… a journey and quest.’  He had also delivered a lecture at the Department of Infectious Disease, Detroit Medical Centre (DMC), Henry Ford Hospitals, Detroit on ‘CNS manifestations in HIV/AIDS (HIV Encephalopathy and Neuro-cognition)’ on Aug. 21.

Dr. S. Nairuthya, Chief Gastrosurgeon, Apollo BGS Hospital, Mysuru, too has been invited to attend the ongoing 13th World Congress of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association at Geneva, Switzerland, from Sept.4 to Sept. 7. He will be presenting three papers titled: 1. Radical Resections InXanthogranulomatousCholecystitis (XGC) – Overkill Or Necessity?; 2. Roux En Y Jejunal Patch CholedochoplastyForMirizzi Syndrome Type-3: Unique Surgical Approach; 3. Generalised Lymphadenopathy In A Long Term Whipple’s Survivor – Not Always Disseminated  Metastasis.
