Mysuru: Dr. Aathira Ravindranath, Paediatric Gastroenterologist from Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, has been selected for the prestigious International Scholarship Award in the United European Gastroenterology Week to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from Oct.19 to 23.
The International Scholarship is awarded to only 30 best young gastroenterologists across the globe and Dr. Aathira is one among them. She has been selected for this award based on her contribution to Paediatric Gastroenterology with her multiple research papers and reviews in international journals and book chapters authored by her.
In addition, she is a special invitee to the first ever “UEGW Women in GI Network” meeting where the most prominent women gastroenterologists are invited to share their research and for future collaboration.
Dr. Aathira attributes her achievements to her MD (Paediatrics) training in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and DM (Pediatric Gastroenterology) training in Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow.
