City hunkers down for weekend curfew

April 26, 2021

The first weekend curfew clamped by the State Government came to a close this morning at 6. With shops closed, deserted streets and lack of movement, it was not a usual weekend with bustling crowds, shops opening with mannequins and articles on display and frequent traffic bottlenecks. Here is an aerial view of Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Circle (Hardinge Circle), with the backdrop of Chamundi Hill, that perfectly reflected the mood of the entire city yesterday.
