City Law Courts and MCC Main Office resume functioning

Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Main Office on Sayyaji Rao Road in city, which was shut last week after an employee attached to the health section tested positive for COVID-19, resumed functioning from Monday.

Likewise, the District Law Court and the Court at Malalavadi (behind Apollo Hospital) too, which were shut last week after a practising advocate tested positive for the deadly virus, too started functioning from yesterday.

The MCC Main Office was shut down on July 7 after its health section employee tested COVID-19 positive on July 6. 

Following the shut down, the MCC authorities sanitised, fumigated and disinfected all the buildings and the entire premises for four days. After the holidays on Saturday and Sunday, the MCC office resumed functioning from yesterday.

The District Law Courts Complex and the New Court Complex at Malalavadi too were shut down on July 7, after an advocate, who practised in both the Courts tested positive. Both the Court Complexes were sanitised and disinfected and  the Courts were supposed to function on Friday last.

But as Saturday and Sunday were general holidays, the Court authorities decided to resume proceedings from Monday and accordingly, both the Courts started functioning from yesterday.

Meanwhile, the office of the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) located on Vinoba Road in Shivarampet, which was sealed down on July 2 after a lady Constable attached to the office tested COVID-19 positive, will re-open tomorrow (July 15), according to Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sandesh Kumar.
