Sensei Abdul Waseem of Indian Karate Academy and Martial Arts, N.R. Mohalla, Mysuru, was among the 20 martial artists from all over India to participate in Pekiti Trisia Kali India apprentice instructor course held at Shaolin Gurukul, Mehrora village, Pangot, Nainital.
Abdul Waseem was awarded the Rank of “Yakan Guro” after completing 27 hours of training under Tuhon Kanishka Sharma (Master Instructor). He is one among the two participants who has been awarded with the rank of Yakan Guro and the only PTK instructor in Karnataka who has been awarded and trained by Tuhon Kanishka Sharma.
Pekiti Trisia means “Close Quarter.” Its speciality lies in close range attacks. It is a combat-oriented system that focuses on edge, impact and improvised weapons and can be used against multi-opponents. Pekiti Trisia Kali is a complete system incorporating both weapons and empty hand methods.
Tuhon Kanishka Sharma has been trained personally by Grand Master Tuhon Leo in the year 2006 and also he has been awarded with one of the highest rank in PTK called Tuhon (Grand Master).Tuhon Kanishka is the only Official representative of Pakiti Trisia Kali and National Director of India.
