City musician to participate in Scotland Music Fest

Mysore Vadiraja, a mridanga artiste from Mysuru, will be participating in the prestigious ‘Counterflows’ Music Festival of be held  at Glasgow, Scotland, UK, on Apr. 7. He is participating along with ace violinist Dr. M. Nandini, and veena player Dr. Shobhana Swaminathan of Chennai and Nakul Krishmamurthy, in collaboration with Western Musician Rian Treanor and film-maker Mark Fell.

Mysore Vadiraj learnt mridanga under the tutelage of Karnataka Kalashree Vid. P.G. Lakshminarayan and H.S. Sudhindra of Bengaluru. He is now learning further nuances under renowned mridanga maestro Thiruvaruru Bhaktavatsalam of Chennai from past seven years.
