City Pailwans win medals in State Masters Games

The following Pailwans of Mysuru have excelled in the wrestling contest held as part of the 2nd State Masters Games – 2021 organised by Master Games Association of Karnataka at Mysore University Gymnasium Hall on March 27 and 28:

Pailwan M.S. Shrikant has secured first place in the Men’s 58-kg category (31-40 years age group). He is the son of former Corporator Pailwan M.D. Srinivas.

Pailwan Chandan Das has secured third place in the Men’s 85-kg category (31-40 years age group). He is the son of Satyanarayan Das.

Both train at Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Garadi Sangha’s Sahukar S. Chennaiah Kusti Akhada in Indiranagar and are residents of Tilak Nagar.

Govinda Raju, Police Sub-Inspector (Wireless), Mysuru, has secured first place in the 69-kg category (41-50 years age group). Son of Pailwan C. Ramachandra and resident of Jalpuri Police Quarters, he trains at Lavar Basappa Garadi in Mandi Mohalla.
