City Police Commissioner joins MGP’s “Green Mysuru” drive

Mysuru: As part of the “Green Mysuru” programme, Mysore Grahakara Parishat (MGP), in association with several other organisations planted more than 400 saplings at Horse Park and Karnataka Armed Reserve Police quarters  on Sept.9 and 10.

Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao, city Police Commissioner, inaugurated the second day’s programme by planting a sapling. Speaking on the occasion, he said the drive could be extended to other premises of Police Department. MCC, Forest Department, KSRP, Save Kukkarahalli Lake Committee, Let’s Do It Mysore, HDFC, Rotary Mysore, volunteers from Infosys and Excelsoft and senior citizens joined the MGP in its Green Mysuru drive.  The programme was coordinated by Prof. S. Sobana and K.S. Venkatesh with co-operation from Commandant Praveen Alva and Dy.SP Shivaraj and their team. S.D. Saokar, MGP President and Dr. M.M. Shenoi, Secretary, were present.
