City Police rescue runaway girl

Mysuru: An 18-year-old girl, who had run away from her house, has been rescued by Lashkar Police at Suburban Bus Stand yesterday.

Lashkar Police, who saw the girl sitting alone in the bus stand, conducted enquiry, during which the girl is said to have revealed that she was pursuing her first year B.Com course at a college in Kammanahalli in Bengaluru.

As she had shortage of attendance and had to pay the fine, fearing her parents, she had left the house without informing them and had come to Mysuru, she added.

The Cops later took her to the Police Station and contacted her parents over the phone and handed over the girl to her parents.
