Belagali, Professor of Environmental Chemistry, Department of Studies in Environmental Science, University of Mysore, has been invited by the Widener University, Philadelphia, USA, to present a research paper titled: “Application and Validation of ED-XRF and SEM-EDX Techniques in the Study of Composting Process” at the 32nd International Conference on Solid Waste Technology and Management being held between March 19 and 22.
About 180 research papers will be presented by eminent scientists and technocrats from across the globe.
Prof. Belagali holds a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Southampton University (England) and has guided fourteen candidates for Ph.D. and four candidates for M.Phil degrees (both in Chemistry and Environmental Science). He has presented several research papers in National and International conferences and his research articles are published in journals of repute in India and abroad.
He has been actively involved in the research and developmental activities concerning sustainable environment and development in the country. He has also served as Registrar of Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, for 15 months.
