City Railway Station goes green

Mysuru Railway Station illuminated with green and blue lights to deliver environment conscious-ness to passengers yesterday night.

Mysore/Mysuru: In line with this year’s theme for World Environment Day-2022 ‘Only One Earth,’ South Western Railways (SWR), Mysuru Division, had organised a tree plantation drive today at Divisional Railway Hospital in city.

Rahul Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, administered a pledge to Officers, Staff, members of South Western Railway Women Welfare Organisation, Scouts and Guides and urged to promote conservation and sustainable management of natural resources. He also highlighted the need to live sustainably in harmony with nature by bringing transformative changes towards cleaner, greener lifestyles.

About 275 saplings were planted across the Division.

Apart from this, Mysuru and Davangere Railway Stations were also illuminated with green and blue lights yesterday to deliver environment consciousness to passengers.

Additional Divisional Railway Manager- I Devasahayam Akasi, and Budati Srinivasulu, Additional Divisional Railway Manager- II and others participated in the tree plantation drive.
