City Scientist bags Award at Indian Science Congress

Mysuru: Dr. R. Shobith, Director, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Molecular Medicine, Nagamangala taluk, Mandya, has been conferred the ‘Prof. R.C. Shah Memorial Award’ at the recently concluded 106th Indian Science Congress at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar.

This award is given to the Scientist who has excelled in research in Chemistry or Biochemistry. The award consists of a plaque, citation and a cash prize of Rs.5,000. Dr. Shobith,  son of former Vice-Chancellor of University of Mysore and Karnataka State Open University, Prof. K.S. Rangappa, has obtained Ph.D from Hokkaido University, Japan.

Dr. Shobith has acknowledged the support and encouragement of Adichunchanagiri Mutt Seer Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji and Adichunchanagiri University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Chandrashekara Shetty for him getting the Award.
