Omkara Yogaraj, a 2nd semester student of Electronics & Communication Engineering at National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, representing Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) team, has bagged two Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal at the All India Inter University Speed Skating Championships 2019-20 held at RIMT University, Gobindgarh, Punjab, in association with Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi and Roller Skating Federation of India from Feb.11 to 14.
He is also the Runner-Up in 500 mts, 1,000 mts Individual Speed Skating Track events and second Runner-Up in Road 1 Lap Race. He Trains at Rao’s Roller Skating Club, Mysuru, under K. Srikanth Rao.
He will now take part in the Team Indian selection Tirals scheduled to be held at Patiala in Punjab from May 3 to 8.
