Mysore/Mysuru: A group of six students from ATME College of Engineering, Mysuru, participated in Smart India Hackathon (SIH)-2020 Grand Finale recently. This is the fourth consecutive time students from ATME College of Engineering, were selected for Grand Finale.
Smart India Hackathon is a nationwide initiative to provide students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving.
The first three editions SIH2017, SIH2018 and SIH2019 proved to be extremely successful in promoting innovation out-of-the-box thinking in young minds, especially engineering students from across India.
The fourth edition of Smart India Hackathon 2020 was held on 1st, 2nd and 3rd of August 2020. This time the event was virtually conducted across the nation due to COVID-19.
The six students from Department of Computer Science and Engineering, ATME College of Engineering, led by K.A. Samura Mariyam with team members Syed Abdur Rahaman, Syed Asif, M.T. Usha, R. Anu Kanthan, T.N. Sinchan Muthamma and Team mentor Nasreen Fathima, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, ATMECE, participated in SIH 2020 Grand Finale connected virtually to the Nodal Centre — Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida. Students had designed Android App for online OPD appointment and Health Information System for the problem statement given under All India Institute of Ayurveda — Ministry of AYUSH.
It is an Android application developed for booking an online appointment for outpatient consultation at hospital, with online payment feature that to be integrated to the existing integrated hospital management system.
