City swimmers excel

Mysuru: Ruthva, Jeevamsh and Saanvi from Global Sports Association (GSA), Mysuru, won 10 medals by competing in CBSC  South Zone-II Swimming Championship 2024-25 held at Shivshankarappa School, Davangere, from Sept. 9 to 12. Ruthva also won Individual Championship.

They are now selected for the National Tournament to be held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Ruthva, a Class 5 student of St. Thomas School, Mysuru, won three gold medals (50m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly) and was awarded ‘Best Swimmer.’

Jeevamsh, an 8th std. student of DAV School, Mysuru, won 2 gold medals (200m Butterfly and 100m Butterfly) and 2 silver medals (50m butterfly and 200m Medley).

Saanvi, a Class 5 student of DAV School, Mysuru, 1 silver (200m Medley) and 2 bronze medals (100m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle).

All the three swimmers are trained under Head Coach Pavan Kumar of GSA at Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Swimming Pool of Puttaraja Gavai Stadium  in J.P. Nagar, Mysuru.
