Two selected for National level
Mysuru: Swimmers from Marlin Aquatic Center, Mysuru, delivered an impressive performance at the CBSE South Zone-II Swimming Championship 2026–27, held at Dr. Raju Davis International School, Thrissur, Kerala recently.
The young swimmers won multiple medals, with two swimmers qualifying for the CBSE National Swimming Championship.
Representing Christ Public School, Bogadi, M. Grithik excelled in the U-11 boys category by winning a silver in the 50m backstroke with a time of 39.09 secs and bronze in the 50m freestyle with a timing of 34.20 secs.
His outstanding performance earned him qualification for the CBSE National Swimming Championship. He is the son of D. Meghava and K. Sheethal Patel, residents of Ramakrishnanagar.
Another notable performance came from Mihir Kalicharan of Excel Public School, who won a silver medal in the U-11 boys 50m freestyle with a time of 33.81 secs. He also qualified for the CBSE National Swimming Championship. Mihir is the son of T. Kalicharan and Srilakshmi, residents of Vijayanagar 3rd Stage.
In the U-11 girls category, Punarni Pramod Javali of Podar International School, Hebbal, secured a bronze medal in the 50m breaststroke, clocking 44.72 secs. She is the daughter of Pramod and Prajwala, residents of Metagalli.
All three medal-winning swimmers train at Marlin Aquatic Center, Mysuru, under the guidance of head coach K.S. Mahesha.
