Mysuru: Senior theatre personality and children’s playwright Dr. H.K. Ramanath of the city was conferred State Award by Governor Vajubhai R. Vala and Women and Child Welfare Minister Umashree at a programme organised by Women and Child Welfare Department as part of Children’s Day celebrations at Bengaluru on Nov. 14.

Dr. Ramanath is closely associated with Kalasuruchi in Kuvempunagar here for over 10 years. He is also the convenor of Kalasuruchi’s weekly programme for children ‘Kathe kelona banni’ on every Saturday from  4.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
