City wushu athletes win medals in intl. tournament

Mysuru, Aug. 17- Two young wushu athletes from Mysuru, G. Pranathi and S.M. Sri Shanvi, secured gold and bronze medals respectively at Batumi Open International Wushu Tournament-2025 held at Batumi in Georgia, recently.

Pranathi, daughter of Giridhar and Sangeeta, won the gold medal defeating a higher weight class opponent 2-0 with a powerful and graceful performance in the final of Sanda (Female 9-11 years) category,

S.M. Sri Shanvi, daughter of Srinivasa and Manjula, secured the bronze Medal, scoring an excellent 07.34 and showcasing world-class skill and consistency.

Both have been training under coaches H.S. Parthipa and U. Darshan at Chamundi Vihar Stadium and D Prime Fitness Studio in J.P. Nagar.
