This refers to the news item on Piped Natural Gas (PNG) starting from Hebbal area in SOM dated Dec.12. It was also mentioned that the piped gas would come to Rs. 700 per month. One wonders if meter is installed for the PNG, where is the question of fixed charges being levied?

Two days back representatives of AG&P were at our doorstep. When we questioned them about fixed charges of Rs. 700, they said it is not correct and they will charge only as per meter.

Why would this wrong information be printed in newspapers unless it is given by the firm AG&P Pratham India. Further, these representatives did not carry any circular on the scheme, leading to doubts.

Website gives the address as attached with the phone number of 9940018666. Trying this number one finds no one picks up. Are AG&P serious in supplying piped gas to the residents of Mysuru, starting from Hebbal area, or is it just a gimmick to satisfy politicians?
