City’s cultural organisation Bhanuvara Sanje Geleyara Balaga, popularly known as BHASANGE Balaga, is all set to present Karnatak classical music vocal recital by Abhiram Bode of Bengaluru at Vasudevacharya Bhavana of Nadabramha Sabha, JLB road, Mysuru, on Sunday, June 18 at 6 pm.
BHASANGE Balaga is providing a platform for young talents in the field of performing arts by organising programmes on monthly basis.
The Balaga has initiated this commendable step to encourage prize winners of Nada Kishora competition, held every year, by Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, Mysuru. Abhiram Bode is one of the winners of Nada Kishora for the year 2016-17.
Artiste’s profile
Son of Gangadhar Bode and Susheela Bode, Abhiram Bode is a disciple of Ganakalabhushana Vidushi R. A. Ramamani and Ganakalabhushana Vidwan T. A. S. Mani. He is a recipient of scholarship from Sangeetha Nruthya Academy.
Abhiram is the first prize winner in the national level RTP concert competition conducted by R. K. Srikantan Trust, Bengaluru. He is one of the winners of Ballary Venkatesh Achar memorial award in the current year conducted by Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, Mysuru.
On 18th June, Abhiram will be accompanied by Vid. C.N.Tyagaraju of Mysuru on violin, Vid. Malola Simha of Bengaluru on mrudangam and Vid.V.S. Ramesh of Mysuru on ghatam.
All music-lovers may attend the concert. Entry for the event is free, according to Bhasange Balaga, which is hosting its 71st monthly programme.
