Bengaluru: A Bengaluru-based cloth merchant has accused Hunsur-based Prakruthi Adivasi Foundation Trust of cheating him on the pretext of social service.
Ramlal Jain, Proprietor of Keshavlal Textiles in Upparpet, Bengaluru, has lodged a complaint with Bangaluru City Police Commissioner, Upparpet Police Station and Mysuru SP, against the Trust President Y.K. Subramani and Secretary Bhyru, accusing them of cheating him to the tune of lakhs of rupees, by taking away clothes and dresses under the pretext of Girijan welfare and social service.
In his complaint, Ramlal said that he had delivered hundreds of unsold sarees, pants, shorts and other clothings to the Trust having address at Yashodharapura in Hunsur taluk is October.
Inspired by the Trust’s claims, he went in a delivery van loaded with sarees and other clothing materials to Yashodharapura on Nov.26, when he learnt from the villagers that one Y.K. Subramani and Bhyru, claiming to be the Trust President and Secretary respectively, had indulged in making money by engaging innocent Girijans to villagers for collecting money, clothes, daily use articles from the people, Ramlal said.
Shocked by the information given by the villagers, Ramlal went back to Bengaluru and lodged a complaint with the Police seeking action against the two for having cheated him under the pretext of Girijan welfare.
